The Lenten Project for 2023 is to raise funds to “buy” animals through Heifer International (HI), a highly respected charitable organization. The greater Alfred Community is being invited to participate in this effort. Collection Containers are located in the Community Bank lobby, at the Terra Cotta Coffee House, and in the Union University Church and the Church Center building. We are asking people to donate their spare change. Donations will be accepted through Easter and the money we raise will be TRIPLED by a special group of donors to HI!!
Take the POLL…
The congregation is invited to participate in a POLL to select the top 3 animals to be given with our Lenten Project donations to those in need through HI. You may vote for your choices online or use a paper “ballot” provided in the sanctuary on Sundays. Deadline for voting is Palm Sunday.
The top 3 “winners” will be announced and this information sent to HI, along with the money raised for our Lenten Project. HAVE FUN with this!
