The following material is for students who are going through confirmation/adult baptism discipleship classes, although anyone is free to access it.
All discipleship candidates are required to get 100% on the Discipleship test. This is the minimum biblical information that any person should know before committing themselves to a life in Christ. Candidates may take it as many times as they want, however, in order to achieve 100% all of the questions and answers are provided here.
The test requires students to know all ten commandments. In order to help learn the commandments, students may use a technique developed by the ancient Romans called the Memory Room. Our visual memory is often better than our verbal memory and so in this technique, a person creates an imaginary room furnished with objects that are associated with the items to be remembered. To help in memorizing the Ten Commandments, listen to this audio presentation which creates a Memory Room for the Ten Commandments.
All candidates are required to know the following verse: “God has showed you what is good and what does the Lord require of you? Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
Some years, Discipleship candidates select mentors with whom to discuss issues of faith. This document provides questions for discussion: Mentor Discussion Questions
